The Problem With Medical Wear in Nepal

Private imports from India or China offered marginally better quality but no brand accountability and no after-sales support. The idea of a registered, quality-controlled Nepali scrub brand simply did not exist.

The Decision to Build Local
dews was established in Kathmandu with a clear mandate: build the best scrubs available in South Asia, price them for the Nepali and Indian healthcare market, and make ordering as frictionless as possible. The COMFex fabric — a high-GSM polyester-rayon-spandex blend with Silvadur™ antibacterial treatment — was selected because it matched the quality standard of FIGS at a fraction of the landed cost for Nepali buyers.

dews now operates from Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, with free delivery across Nepal and growing shipping to India. The COMFex scrub range — in Navy Blue, Maroon, Royal Blue, and Black — has become the highest-selling premium scrub in Nepal.
